The Bailey Library has a number of study area options available for our users.
The Active Learning Zone is an area of the library where engagement with online classes, collaborative and group study is encouraged. This area is near the Children's Literature and Periodical collections in the library. Movable whiteboards are available in this area.
The Quiet Study Zone is an area of the library from the Reference Collection to the General Collection where quiet, individual study is encouraged.
Group Study Rooms are available to users on a first-come first-served basis or for group reservation. The rooms are located on the outer perimeter of the first floor of the library.
Student groups of two (2) or more are encouraged to make advance reservations using the online Group Study Room Form.
GM 115, GM 117, and GM 119 are Individual Study Rooms. These rooms are for individual study and are only available on a first come, first served basis.
User Services staff at the library will assist users in locating a room or area and check it out to the users if needed.

Study Room Guidelines
- Bailey Library Group Study Rooms are GM 114, 132, 134, 136, 138, 140, 142
- Bailey Library Group Study Rooms are available for two (2) hour check out to current WCC students groups of two (2) or more.
- Renewals are based on room availability.
- Students with library account blocks will need to resolve blocks before being allowed to check out a study room.
- All students need to check out key at the User Services desk and return key to User Services Desk.
- Groups/Individuals must wait one (1) hour before checking out another room to give others a chance to utilize the study rooms.
- All applicable late fines and fees will be assessed for keys not returned on time.
- Students assume responsibility for any and all losses and damages incurred while utilizing study rooms.
- Rooms will remain locked at all times with door closed.
- Personal belongings left unattended will be turned over to security.
- The library staff reserve the right to remove or reassign groups/individuals to ensure the appropriate utilization of study rooms.
- Names of individuals who have checked out study rooms will not be divulged.
- Activities/behaviors not allowed in study rooms, which may result in expulsion from room, include but are not limited to: disruptive behavior, threatening behavior, vandalism, failure to adhere to the Bailey Library and/or WCC student code of conduct.
Group Study Rooms - Advance Reservations For Groups
Students are encouraged to make advance reservations for Bailey Library Study Rooms.
- Advance reservations are available to student groups of two (2) or more.
- Maximum capacity for the largest group study room is ten (10) people.
- Two (2) hour reservations are limited to current WCC students with valid ID.
- All students must make a reservation using the online Group Study Room Reservation form.

- All students need to check out key at the User Services desk and return key when finished.
- The library staff reserve the right to extend or decline reservations, and remove or reassign groups/individuals to ensure the appropriate utilization of study rooms.
Reservations:
- Must reserve the room at least 24 hours in advance and no more than seven (7) days out.
- Reservations are not available for Saturdays and Sundays.
- Reservations may be made in two (2) hour blocks with renewals based on room availability.
- Extended reservation requests (more than 2 hours) must notify library staff at the time of reservation.
- Reservations have a ten (10) minute grace period to arrive. After the grace period, the reservation is cancelled and returned to general circulation.
- All applicable late fines and fees will be assessed for keys not returned on time.
- Students with blocks on their library account will be unable to make a reservation until block is resolved.
- Rooms are reserved in the order that the requests are received.
