Coronavirus Update

March 11, 2020 WTMC Administration

WTMC Community,

We know you may be concerned about the coronavirus outbreak. We are too. WTMC faculty and staff are working hard to ensure learning can continue even as we take steps to keep students and families safe.

Many colleges and universities in Michigan are moving classes online and to other alternative formats. To address this concern, WCC is cancelling all face-to-face credit and non-credit classes on Thursday, March 12 through Saturday, March 14 to give faculty an opportunity to consider alternative methods of instructional delivery. Online classes will continue as scheduled. The campus and all campus services will remain open.

WTMC classes will also be cancelled during this time as we determine the best method to deliver online or alternative formats for our classes. Students should begin planning to use the internet to continue learning in their WTMC classes. Campus will be open if internet access is not available at your home. We will be continuing to update you on Thursday and Friday as we determine the best and safest way to continue your learning and progress in your WTMC classes.

BASE advisors will continue to be available even if in-person classes and meetings are suspended. Please check your email regularly and follow the guidelines your instructors post on Google Classroom, BlackBoard, or by email so that you can keep learning despite these changes.

Our top priority is the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.
