Workforce Development

Whatever kind of business you have—large or small, new or established, firmly rooted in the greater Ann Arbor area or recently relocated here—Washtenaw Community College is your source for developing and enhancing the skills of your workforce.

Our decades of experience in the training business, hundreds of successful partnerships with area organizations, and thousands of hours of training delivered set us apart from other teaching organizations.

Our Trainers

We can arrange for any kind of trainer you need. Are you looking for a specialist to teach a technical class? We can provide one. Do you need a generalist to cover a broader topic like leadership? We can provide that person, too.

We have more than 1,000 full and part-time faculty at WCC to draw on, along with hundreds of contacts in the county and beyond. Sometimes we even bring in nationally known speakers, authors, and other experts to lead workshops that energize the entire business community.

Our Focus

We’re driven by our mission to be “the community’s college,” so our main focus is on the business owners and employees of Washtenaw County. Because of this focus, we’ve made it our business to understand your needs and challenges, whether you’re involved in the automotive industry, health care, high tech, education, printing, or manufacturing, among other businesses.

Meeting Your Needs

We offer hundreds of fully developed classes. However, we also appreciate that many organizations want training customized for their particular work environment. Our staff will work with you to identify existing classes or develop customized programs that meet your unique needs.

Not sure what your training needs are? We’ll be happy to assess your organization’s situation and develop a plan to help move your business forward.
