Student veterans prepare to continue lifetime of service

Washtenaw Community College is proud to be named a gold-level veteran-friendly school by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. The Wadhams Veterans Center on the second floor of the college’s Student Center is a place where military veterans attending WCC can meet fellow veterans, receive academic advising or just hang out. It’s a great place to meet students with interesting stories, including Melanie Chen and Nathaniel Jaskierny.

Washtenaw Community College will join the Job Developers Alliance (JDA) and its inaugural Apprenticeship Fair next week to showcase work-learn opportunities for students and partner with employers. The Wednesday, May 1, event is designed to connect those who want to earn trade or professional skills through hands-on experiences with local employers. The fair will be from 4-7 pm at Skyline High School, 2552 N. Maple Road, Ann Arbor.
