Red Hat Linux Upgrade – MyWCC

During the weekly maintenance window on Sunday morning, December 5, the operating system on the server that supports Banner 8 Self-Service (“MyWCC”) will be upgraded to Red Hat Linux version 7.  Applications that use this service will be unavailable to faculty, staff and students.

Services Affected: MyWCC, Register for Classes, Pay Tuition, Financial Aid Appeals, FAMIS Self-Service

Start Time: Sunday, Dec. 5 at 6 a.m.
Anticipated End Time: Sunday, Dec. 5 at 8 a.m.

Which services will be unavailable and which will be available?
MyWCC, Register for Classes, Pay Tuition, the Financial Aid Appeals system, and FAMIS Self-Service will not be available. This will not affect DegreeWorks, Blackboard, or the main website of the college (www.wccnet.edu).  Ensuring operating systems are current is a critical component of our security posture.
