IT Maintenance Window - September 5-6

The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) will be adding a core switch to improve network reliability, beginning Sunday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. The entire WCC network will be down until Monday, Sept. 6 at 11 p.m.

In addition, on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m., ITS will upgrade Banner to enable implementation of the Banner Operational Data Store (ODS).

Network Outage

ITS will be adding a core switch to improve network reliability, beginning Sunday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. The entire WCC network will be down until Monday, Sept. 6 at 11 p.m.

Services Affected: All phones and internet access into and out of the WCC network will be unavailable. Any service requiring VPN, Single Sign-on or services that are hosted in the WCC data center will be unavailable to faculty, staff and students.

Start Time: Sunday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m

Approximate End Time: Monday, Sept. 6 at 11 p.m.

What is impacted? All phones including Avaya Softphone, VPN, all shared drives, anything requiring Single Sign-on (SSO), Blackboard, MyWCC, Pay Tuition, Register for Classes and Check Your Progress, Banner 8/9, Financial Aid Appeals System, Portal applications, FAMIS, SARS Appointment Scheduling, JATC 669 Moodle Testing Site, UltraTime and classroom labs will be unavailable. 

Available Services: The main college website will be online.

Operational Data Store (ODS) Upgrade

Upgrades will be performed to prepare for implementation of the Banner Operational Data Store and Argos reporting system.

Start Time: Sunday, Sept. 5 at 2 a.m

Approximate End Time: Sunday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m.

What is impacted? Banner 8 INB Forms, Banner 9 Admin Pages, MyWCC, Register for Classes, Pay Tuition, Financial Aid Appeals, DegreeWorks.
