Whether online, on-campus or a combination of both, WCC offers modes that fit students’ busy schedules.
The average WCC student age is 25-years-old. With 73% of students enrolled part-time, many balance work, family and academic commitments. Flexibility at WCC goes far beyond offering online classes. Entire programs are online.
Of the college’s 143 degree and certificate programs, 50 can be completed entirely online. These include programs in Business, Computer Technology, Broadcast Media & Digital Arts, General Studies & Transfer, Human Services & Pre-Education and Workforce Development.

Some online courses are offered in a distance learning format, allowing instructors to post lectures and assignments to a platform and offers a place where faculty and students virtually engage.
Some online classes meet live, with the instructor and classmates logging into a platform at a specific time.
Last Fall, 414 of WCC’s 766 total courses were offered in an on-line format. A total of 1,856 class sections were offered, with 1,313 having a set meeting either virtually or in person.
