Emily Riley caught the photography bug in high school, which she says made her college choice an easy one.

Emily Riley“After completing those courses, I knew I would follow that passion and earn a degree in the field,” says Riley. “When deciding which college to attend, choosing WCC was an easy choice after learning about their outstanding Digital Media Arts programs and facilities. I had the very best time at WCC and left a more confident photographer.”

Since graduating, Riley completed a Digital Summer Internship at Ann Arbor SPARK and is continuing to build her photography business while making plans to pursue another degree in graphic design.

“Without the resources at WCC and the incredible instructors, I know I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Riley says. “The instructors and resources at WCC are incredible.”

Asked to share advice with future WCC students, Riley says “I want them to know that they should feel confident that they’ll get an excellent education and help with your future career, through positive instruction and mentorship. Everyone I have met, including fellow students, are helpful, kind and want you to succeed.”
