First Free College Day a Success

The college’s first Free College Day on March 22 was a huge success. WCC welcomed 263 guests to campus for a unique afternoon of learning.

A formal welcome from President Bellanca set the tone for the event. The student volunteers in bright green shirts helped things run smoothly. Faculty presenters David Fitzpatrick, Elisabeth Thoburn, Scott Malnar, Karen Vigmostad and MC Tom Zimmerman captivated audiences with their knowledge and expertise.

Engaging displays on knitting and basket weaving, fly fishing, silk painting, and piano brought new interest to the college’s Community Enrichment programs.

Mark your calendars for the next Free College Day on Saturday, Oct. 11.
