WCC: Vital Community Resource

Joni Bradley

For Joni Bradley, Pharm.D., supporting the Washtenaw Community College Foundation is a genuine joy. As the c hair of the Scholarship Committee, she helps determine scholarship recipients. “Because the Foundation gets such great support from our community, we have the pleasure of awarding scholarships to the majority of students who apply,” she said.

Dr. Bradley has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2011 and a sponsor of the Women’s Council, Mardi Gras fundraisers and golf outings. “Supporting WCC is a nobrainer,” she said. “I am a raving fan of the role of community colleges in higher education. WCC is exemplary because of the course offerings and a high-quality, engaged faculty. I also continue to be impressed with President Dr. Rose B. Bellanca’s passion for and dedication to the college.”

Dr. Bradley is the CEO and President of JB Ashtin, a communications and marketing firm that specializes in health care and pharmaceuticals. She views WCC as a vital resource to the community. “Tuition to attend four-year universities continues to increase,” she said.

“As a result, college is not an option for many people because tuition is unaffordable without some type of financial assistance or a student loan. WCC is an excellent and affordable option for certificate programs, for the initial years of a four-year degree and for anyone at any age who wants to continue learning.”
