The ACCT, located in Washington D.C., is a non-profit educational organization of governing boards, representing more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees at1,200 community, technical, and junior colleges in the United States and beyond.

“We appreciate Diana McKnight- Morton’s shared commitment to these values and policies, and we welcome and look forward to her contributions to this important committee’s work,” said ACCT Chair Roberto Zarate. “ACCT is committed to policies of inclusiveness to encourage engagement, values, and uniqueness, to celebrate differences and to promote respect for all. I am extremely excited about this opportunity and look forward to embarking on this journey.”

Dr. Bellanca said she was “delighted to hear” of McKnight- Morton’s appointment.

“She deserves this honor and our students, faculty and staff will all benefit from her work to foster appreciation and understanding of the opportunities a diverse campus holds,” Bellanca said.
