Washtenaw Economic Club releases 2018 luncheon speakers

As Gail Perry-Mason presented the final keynote address of the Washtenaw Economic Club’s 2017 luncheon series on November 9, the packet of information at members’ seats included a preview of an exciting 2018 schedule.

Perry-Mason -— an entrepreneur, author, speaker and financial coach — weaved valuable business lessons into her personal tale of overcoming discrimination and other obstacles to become a respected authority in the financial industry. (See photos from the event.)

The Washtenaw Economic Club aims to bring relevant and engaging speakers to its luncheon series, held at the Morris Lawrence Building on the Washtenaw Community College campus. Find more details here. The 2018 luncheon series includes:

The Economic Outlook, March 29: University of Michigan economists Gabriel Ehrlich and Donald Grimes present this popular annual report on the economic forecast for Washtenaw County.

Keeping Information Safe, May 15: A panel of four local industry experts will discuss what firms are doing to address the data security threats of today and the future.

Failure and Perspective, Sept. 13: Regina Ann Campbell, Managing Director of TechTown Detroit, will speak about how the entrepreneurial mindset can open the window to opportunities and competitive advantages.

Mid-Term Election Results, Nov. 8: Senior Michigan Capitol Correspondent Tim Skubick will examine how the mid-term election results will impact Washtenaw County.
