Light Orange Bean is a food blog that I post recipes I developed along with eye-catching food photography I captured. It was launched in September 2014. My audiences are from every part of the world and they are lovers of healthy recipes (especially gluten-free and vegan). Besides running the food blog, I’m also a photographer providing photography services to local businesses, especially restaurants.

What drives you to be a business owner?

I have to say it’s my passion of cooking that drives me to be a business owner. Cooking became something I really liked to do, ever since I could reach the counter standing on a stool.

How has the Entrepreneurship Center at WCC helped with your business goals?

I have attended many talks, workshops, and boot camps, such as The Business of Being an Artist series, Forming your LLC or DBA, and Lunch and Learn Business Expo. In addition to all their literature, the director and staff at the Entrepreneurship Center have always been very supportive whenever I needed to find resources to solve challenges that my business encountered.

If you could offer one piece of advice for fellow entrepreneurs or prospective entrepreneurs, what would it be?

I have found the book, Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg Mckeown helps me to rethink where to spend my precious time and energy not just for my businesses but also my personal life. I strongly recommend my fellow entrepreneurs to not just read the book, but own the book and study it.
