Management (APMNGD)

Associate in Applied Science

The Management Associate program provides you with basic knowledge and skills to enter or advance in management in any organization. You will learn how management effectively coordinates resources to accomplish organizational goals. Additionally, you will learn how to plan for the future, organize a structure to work in, manage employee performance, and make effective decisions.

Upon completion of this program, you will receive an Applied Science associate degree, Management certificate and a certificate in a discipline or technical area of interest to you. This flexibility will allow anyone in an occupational certificate program to gain the management knowledge and skills to manage in a company setting, or to manage your own business. For other options, be sure to check our Accelerated programs for Management certificate.

The Management Associate Program has four categories of classes:

  • general education classes
  • technical certificate classes
  • management certificate classes
  • business division elective classes

You may continue your studies at a 4-year institution.

This is a high demand, high skill and high wage program as defined by the Michigan Community College Network.
