About Virginia Burkel

Ms. Burkel has worked as a Senior Analytical Chemist at NSF International (Ann Arbor) for more than 15 years. During that time she has analyzed drinking water, water treatment unit, water systems and dietary supplement samples. In her career, Ms. Burkel has completed and presented several research projects at conferences from Berlin Germany to Dearborn, MI. Currently, Ms. Burkel analyzes dietary supplement samples for several compounds such as the B vitamins and Caffeine. She has also been involved in the analysis of hemp biomass samples for thirteen cannabinoids.

Ms. Burkel began her career in instruction in 1998 at Eastern Michigan University. She began instructing Labs at Washtenaw Community College in 2003.
