About Spencer Field
Spencer Field is a Business Advisor at Michigan Small Business Development Council where he is responsible for helping local businesses capitalize on opportunities, knock down walls, and make connections. On a mission to support and continuously improve the Small Business Community, he is focused on shattering problems and creating change.
Spencer Field has been named the Young Entrepreneur of the Year, as well as holding certifications from Google, Facebook, and several other platforms. He received said certifications after completing his BSBA from Thomas Edison University in under a year.
Before joining the SBDC, Spencer launched his career at Orange Cube Group, where he was responsible for team development, strategic planning, and digital marketing. His expertise and commitment to change has allowed him to be recognized as a highly-driven fellow with a passion for improvement.
Outside of the office, Spencer enjoys policy debate, minimalism, and an ever-growing list of side projects. These lead to recognition on Product Hunt, Reddit, and Several Economic Development groups.

Social Media Canvas is a one-page social media plan with a layout similar to the business canvas. Its content and design was lead by myself but included 30+ people. After it’s launch in q4 of 2017 it has been used by teams in the USA. Europe and has even been adopted into some collegiate curriculum.
