About Michelle Garey
Michelle Garey teaches introductory and intermediate-level Spanish at WCC. She received her B.A. from The University of Michigan, where she double majored in Spanish and History. During her junior year, she participated in The Big Ten Academic Alliance’s study abroad program in Guanajuato, Mexico. She completed her M.A. in Spanish Linguistics at The Ohio State University and has traveled extensively to Spain, where she also completed studies at La Universidad de Granada. She has been teaching at WCC since 2001 and continues to be inspired by the cultural diversity and personal stories of her students. In addition to her passion for the Spanish language, she treasures time with her family and enjoys traveling, cooking, dancing, and music.
