About Arista Williams
With nearly three decades at Washtenaw Community College, I’ve built my career around one core belief: every person — student, faculty member, or colleague — deserves patience, attention to detail, and genuine problem-solving. That philosophy has guided me through roles in Student Services, Admissions, Registration, and Financial Aid, and now shapes my work as Managing Director of UA Educational Technologies.
Over the years, I’ve supported WCC’s Business Department faculty, helped students and employers navigate resume and cover letter development through Career Services, and hosted career fairs connecting job seekers with opportunity. This hands-on, people-first approach carried into one of my proudest achievements: leading a global migration from Blackboard to Canvas LMS, training and supporting over 5,000 instructors internationally through a complex transition.
My commitment to accessibility and equity in education was recognized with the Justice in Action Award, earned for supporting hundreds of faculty through training, tools, and hands-on guidance to help instructors align their courses with accessibility standards — ensuring every student, regardless of ability, has equal access to learning.
I bring vast experience working with diverse populations across the U.S. and Canada, with core strengths in training, education, management, and project development. Whether I’m guiding a large-scale technology rollout or helping one faculty member solve a single problem, I approach every interaction the same way: with patience, precision, and a genuine drive to help.
Patience, precision, and people — that’s what I bring to every project and every conversation. Let’s connect.
