March 2026 Washtenaw Economic Club speaker

Michigan’s Chief Mobility Officer, Justine Johnson, will kick off the 2026 season of the Washtenaw Economic Club Speaker Series.

Johnson leads the state’s Office of Future Mobility and Electrification, working across state government, academia and private industry to strengthen Michigan’s transportation mobility ecosystem.

Her work includes developing dynamic mobility and electrification policies and supporting the startup and scale-up of emerging mobility technologies and businesses.

Johnson will speak about “Michigan’s Mobility Playbook to Compete with Other States” during an Economic Club luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College (see directions/campus map).

Sponsored by WCC and other member businesses and entities, the Washtenaw Economic Club is a forum for business leaders in the local community. Members discuss issues directly impacting business and how economic analysis can inform decision-making.

The club will host additional speakers throughout the year, including June 4, September 17 and November 5. For tickets, as well as more information on how to become a sponsor, visit wccnet.edu/economic-club.
