Internships and Co-ops

Many successful professionals began their careers with experiential learning.

What's the difference?

  • Cooperative Education (Co-op): Earn academic credit while gaining hands-on experience in your field. Co-ops help you build career skills, expand your network, and may help offset college costs. Most technical, business, and computer programs at WCC offer co-op opportunities. Eligibility: good academic standing and completion of at least two courses in your field.
  • Internships: Gain practical experience, industry-specific skills, and professional connections to explore career interests.
  • Micro-Internships: Short-term, paid projects (10–40 hours, often remote) that let you develop skills, explore careers, and network without a long-term commitment.
