Welcome new students!

New Student Orientation is Thursday, August 27

It’s very important that all new students attend orientation on Thursday, August 27 with at least one parent/guardian. The day is divided into five sessions by BASE advisor. Please come during your assigned session at the time listed below. Orientation will include a short presentation, a group meeting with your new BASE advisor, a campus tour led by WTMC student ambassadors, and a chance to log in to your WCC account.

Important information will be given out at orientation. You will receive your student/parent handbooks, class schedules, and PowerSchool log-in information

Orientation begins in the Liberal Arts & Sciences (LA) building room LA 240. Use the WCC Room Locator for help finding your way.

WTMC Classes begin Friday, August 28

The first day of WTMC classes is Friday, August 28, 10:00am – 3:00pm, the regular Friday WTMC schedule. BASE advisors will provide more information about your class schedule at orientation.


School Supplies

WTMC classes require:

WTMC provides:

  • Planners
  • Textbooks & course packs
  • Copy of the U.S. Constitution (Civics)
  • 3 x 5 index cards (Civics/U.S. History)
  • Composition notebook (English)
  • Self-selected reading books
    • Available in WCC or WTMC libraries

Students provide:

  • 3-ring binder for each class
    • 1 inch or ½ inch size
  • Tabbed dividers
  • Loose leaf lined paper
  • Pencils, pens, & highlighters
  • Calculator (MC Chemistry)

WTMC Math classes require:

WTMC provides:

  • Textbooks & homework packets

Students provide:

  • Calculator
    • Math 067: scientific calculator
      • TI-30 or TI-84 recommended
    • Geometry, Math 097 & Math 169: graphing calculator
      • TI-84 recommended
    • Graph paper recommended (Math 097 & Geometry)
    • Protractor (Geometry)

Technology for Students

On-campus computing resources are available for all students. Students can access any software they need in the WCC computer commons or WTMC computer labs. WTMC teachers will reserve computer labs or class sets of computers when needed for class. Students are not required to bring their own laptops to school, but are welcome to.
