Registration is now open for fall offerings, including Fast-Track Job Training, professional development training and personal enrichment classes that help learners of all ages build new skills, prepare for in-demand careers
and pursue lifelong learning.

Fast-Track Job Training aligns with employer needs and is a fast way to earn credentials and develop skills for high-earning, in-demand jobs in healthcare, information technology, construction, manufacturing and more. Many programs can be taken at your own pace and prepare students for industry-recognized certifications that employers value.
Eligible students pursuing Fast-Track Job Training may also qualify for funding assistance, including opportunities available through the University of Michigan Credit Union.
WCC also offers professional development training courses for employees and employers looking to strengthen workplace skills, earn continuing education credits and stay current with changing technologies and industry practices. Programs span business, leadership, project management, healthcare, information technology, data analytics and many other fields.
Beyond career-focused learning, WCC continues to expand its popular personal enrichment offerings with new gardening, arts, wellness and creative classes this fall.
New fall personal enrichment classes include:
- Fall Gardening Chores (Sept. 8 | 6:30-8 p.m.) Start a new garden or prepare existing gardens for winter, taking advantage of cooler temperatures and regular autumn rains.
- Yoga for Wellness (Sept. 15-Nov. 17 | 9-10 a.m.) Improve mobility, reduce tension and promote overall wellness through gentle yoga.
- Watercolor Collage (Sept. 16-Dec. 16 | 4-6 p.m.) Transform unfinished watercolor paintings into creative new works.
- Spring Flowering Bulbs (Oct. 6 | 6:30-8:30 p.m.) Learn which hardy bulbs thrive in Michigan, how to plant them and how to care for them throughout the year.
- Planting a Legacy (Nov. 3 | 6:30-8:30 p.m.) Learn proper tree planting, mulching and care techniques to help your tree thrive for generations.
- Advanced Knitting (Nov. 8 | 2-4 p.m.) Build confidence reading knitting patterns while beginning a new project.
- Bring Your Own Handcrafting Project Workshop (Nov. 22 | 2-4 p.m.) Receive hands-on guidance while working on your own fiber arts project.
- Symbolic Meaning of Common Christmas Decorations (Dec. 1 | 6-7:30 p.m.) Explore the history and symbolism behind beloved holiday traditions.
- Care of Holiday Plants (Dec. 3 | 6-8 p.m.) Get expert tips for selecting and caring for holiday plants before bringing them home.
Other personal enrichment classes throughout the fall include music instruction, cooking, world languages and dozens more.
Community members can also take advantage of WCC's Workforce Foundation Skills Lab, which offers Washtenaw County residents free career-readiness and skill-building classes designed to prepare for employment opportunities or career advancement.
