Description

The Curriculum Committee is advisory to the Vice President for Instruction and the President, and has two general responsibilities:

  • Review curriculum standards, course, and program proposals; and
  • Participate in long- and short-term curriculum planning processes.

The function of the Curriculum Committee shall be to review curriculum standards, course and program proposals, and to participate in college planning process for long- and short-term curriculum directions. The committee shall be advisory to the President or the President's designee on all College curriculum matters.

The Curriculum Committee meets weekly during the fall and winter semesters to review course and program proposals, and to take up curriculum-related issues that arise. These meetings are open, and faculty, administration, and staff are encouraged to attend.

The work of the Curriculum Committee is closely related to the purpose of the Assessment Committee.
