WCC provides free email accounts to all credit students within 24 hours of being admitted. You log into your WCC email account with your netID and password.
Your email address is [email protected]. If you need to set up your netID account, forget your password, or have questions about your netID, visit the Account Management page.
The student email system is an ad-free version of Google’s Gmail. Google provides a Gmail Getting Started Guide and extensive help information.
If you need more help with email, you can visit the Learning Commons on the second floor of the Gunder Myran Building to talk to a lab assistant, fill out the online contact form, or call the Student Welcome Center at 734-973-3543.
If you’d like to forward your WCC email to another account, check the instructions from Google.
Security
To avoid compromising your email account or infecting your computer with a virus, please follow two guidelines.
First, don’t respond to any email message that requests your password. Information Technology Services at WCC will never ask for your password. Any message that appears to be from WCC and asks for your password is phishing, an attempt by scammers to obtain your password.
Second, be extremely careful about downloading attachments in email messages. Never download an attachment in a message from someone you don’t know. Many computer viruses are spread through email attachments.
If you believe that your password has been stolen, immediately go to Account Management and change your password. Employees who believe their computer has been infected with a virus should call the help desk at 734-973-3456.
