Grounds Maintenance

We Make WCC Beautiful

Landscape and Grounds Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the exterior site facilities and landscaping that make WCC beautiful.   The 295 acre campus consists of natural wooded areas, ponds, native plantings, as well as park space, patios, parking, and classic campus amenities.   As the seasons change, the team will shift focus among tasks such as planting, mowing and irrigation in the warm months, to leaf pick up, pruning, and snow/ice control in the cool season.  Landscape and Grounds Maintenance also assists numerous other divisions to facilitate events, athletics, traffic control, and waste management in order to service the College.

Landscape and Grounds Maintenance provides:

  • Tree, shrub, plant, and lawn care, including native plantings and green roofs
  • Snow and ice control on all hard surfaces
  • Litter and waste removal operations
  • Fleet and equipment management
  • Outdoor event setups, and care of site amenities
  • Athletic field maintenance and preparations
  • Irrigation, fire hydrant maintenance, and underground water utilities
